Shay Stephenson (born September 13, 1983) is a Canadian hockey player for Vålerenga Ishockey of the Norwegian GET-ligaen.
He played junior hockey for the Red Deer Rebels and won the Memorial Cup in 2001. He was chosen 278th overall by the Edmonton Oilers in the 2001 NHL Entry Draft. Unsigned by the Oilers, he was then chosen 198th overall by the Carolina Hurricanes in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft. He did not sign with the Hurricanes either and turned pro in 2004-05 with IF Sundsvall Hockey in Sweden.
The Los Angeles Kings signed him as a free agent in 2005 but Stephenson only played two games with them in 2006-07. He joined the HC Milano in 2007-08, Krefeld Pinguine in 2008-09, and the Las Vegas Wranglers in 2009-10. Later in 2009-10 he signed with Vålerenga Ishockey in Norway.
