Shane Albert Doan (b. October 10th 1976 in Halkirk, Alberta, Canada) is a National Hockey League player, for the Phoenix Coyotes. He was selected seventh overall in the 1995 NHL Entry Draft by the Winnipeg Jets.
Doan made his NHL debut on October 5 with an assist against the Dallas Stars. He scored his first goal on November 14, against the Chicago Blackhawks. The following season, the franchise relocated to Phoenix, where they were renamed the Coyotes.
