Senior is the term used to usually describe a student who is in their final year of obtaining a degree. In terms of athletic eligibility it is usually the fourth year which in most cases would be the student-athletes final year to be able to participate in intercollegiate athletics unless special circumstances exist such as an injury or not being on a team due to being left of the roster "redshirted".
