Saundrine Lanouette is a former goaltender with the Ohio State Buckeyes women’s ice hockey program. Lanouette is a model for Ford Models and has declared her interest in competing for the newly formed Bikini Hockey League based out of Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Playing career[]
She began playing the goaltender position at the Mites level (for children aged 6 to 8 years) because she volunteered for it. Growing up, she attended goaltender camps, such as those hosted by Nashville Predators goalie coach Mitch Korn, and playing travel hockey kept improving her game.
High School[]
She was the goaltender for the undefeated Cheverus High Stags girls' hockey team. During the 2009-10 season, she stood between the pipes for the 18-0 Stags. Lanouette competed in 13 of Cheverus' 18 regular season games, and had 166 shots against. Of note, she allowed only 4 goals, resulting in a .976 save percentage and a sparkling 0.39 goals against average. [1] Her 4 goals allowed were not rebounds. The Stags went on to win every game and win their first-ever state championship. In the 2010 Maine State championships, Lanouette gave up just one goal in three games. Cheverus would defeat York Wildcats, Falmouth Yachtsmen and Lewiston. Versus York, Lanouette allowed her only score of the postseason as Cheverus prevailed by a 7-1 tally. She made 18 saves versus Falmouth in a 3-0 shutout win. The state championship was contested in Lewiston, Maine. Once again, she made 18 saves in a 3-0 shutout win for the championship. While she was in high school, she played for the Biddeford Lady Breakers, which made it to the Nationals in Michigan.

Personal[]
Lanouette grew up in Falmouth, Maine and also competed in two years of field hockey and one of lacrosse in high school. She suffers from celiac disease, a medical condition in which she cannot consume foods with wheat, rye, oats and barley.
