The Sault Ste. Marie Thunderbirds were a minor professional team in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario.
They played in the Eastern Professional Hockey League from 1959-62. The Thunderbirds were a farm team of the Chicago Blackhawks of the NHL.
In 1962 they were moved to Syracuse, New York to become the Syracuse Braves.
