Sami Nuutinen (Born June 11, 1971 in Espoo, Finland) is a retired hockey player. He was drafted in the 12th round, 248th overall in the 1990 NHL Entry Draft by the Edmonton Oilers. He started his pro career with Kiekko-Espoo in the I-Divisioona in 1988, and then played with them and HIFK Helsinki in the SM-Liiga. He later played for VIK Västerås HK in the Elitserien, SB Rosenheim in the Deutsche Eishockey Liga, and after a year back home with HPK Hämeenlinna, concluded his career in Norway with Frisk Asker from 2001-2003.
