Sally Frances Komarek (born July 29, 1991) is a womens ice hockey player for the Dartmouth Big Green.
Playing career[edit | edit source]
Komarek competed at The Blake School and was a five-year member of the varsity hockey team. In her final season, she was the runner-up for the Ms. Hockey Minnesota Award. In her final season at the Blake School, she scored 50 goals to go with 31 assists for a total of 81 points. Komarek was part of the USA Hockey National Select Camp in 2006, 2007 and 2008

The 2009-10 Dartmouth season was her first with the club. Komarek participated in all 28 games as a third line forward. Statistically, she accumulated 15 points on three goals and 12 assists. Her 15 points ranked third among Dartmouth freshmen Her best performance was a two point game as part of a 4-2 win over St. Lawrence on November 6, 2009. Her first NCAA goal was scored in a 3-2 loss to the Harvard Crimson on November 25. Her first point scoring streak came in back-to-back games (registering three points) at Rensselaer (Jan. 22) and Union (Jan. 23). The following season, Komarek appeared in 34 games. Her 21 points ranked seventh on the Big Green, while her six goals were a career high. Of her six goals, four were scored on the power play, while one was a game winner. While taking 66 shots during the season, she earned a plus/minus ratio of +8. On January 1, 2011, Komarek had three points in a 9-2 whitewash of the Connecticut Huskies. In the 2011 ECAC playoffs, she finished with a goal and an assist. In a weekend series (Nov 25 and 26, 2011), she accumulated four points to help Dartmouth win two matches versus nationally ranked opponents. In the first match, she contributed to the defeat of ninth-ranked Harvard with an assist. In the following game versus 10th ranked Northeastern, she responded with three points. She assisted on Dartmouth's first goal of the game, while scoring two goals, including the game winner.
