The Saint John Stingers were a Tier II Junior "A" team in Saint John, New Brunswick. They played in the New Brunswick Junior Hockey League in 1980-81, 1981-82, and 1982-83.

They folded in 1983 along with their league. The team did reappear later in the 80's when the Southern NB Junior Hockey League started up again. The Stingers won the SNBJHL in 1987 and again in 1989. The other teams in the league at that time were the Northside Pizza Delight Capitals, Sussex Jr. Rangers, Richibucto, and the Oromocto Eagles. The Stingers franchise was owned by Don Elliott and later co-owned by Elliott and Larry Somerville. Saint John fans will remember the early Stingers as one of the very first teams in Canada to wear the long Cooperall pants during play. The long pants were not seen in the NHL until the following year.
