The Saguenay Junior League was a junior league in the Saguenay River valley of northern Quebec.
History[]
Prior to World War II this league was one of the recognized junior leagues in the province of Quebec.
It was re-started in the 1953-54 season to replace the failed Lac St. Jean Senior League.
After the collapse of the Quebec Junior League in 1955, this league was one of those that stepped in to replace it.
It operated in the Saguenay River valley and around Lac St. Jean north of Quebec City. In 1955-56 it also included two teams from Quebec City.
Until 1970 it was a Junior "A" league. With the re-organization of junior hockey in Canada and the beginning of the Major Junior classification, the league dropped to Junior "B".
