Sébastien Charpentier (born April 18, 1977 in Drummondville, Quebec) is an ice hockey goalie who last played for the Saguenay Marquis of the Ligue Nord-Américaine de Hockey.
He played junior for the Laval Titan, Val-d'Or Foreurs, and Shawinigan Cataractes from 1994 to 1997 amd was drafted 93rd overall by the Washington Capitals in the 1995 NHL Entry Draft.
Cgarpentier turned pro in 1997-98 and spent four seasons in the Capitals' farm system. In 2001 he finally got into some action with the NHL team. He played 26 games with the Capitals from 2001 to 2004 while also playing for the Portland Pirates. He suffered a leg injury in November, 2003, which kept him out of the rest of the 2003-04 season.
When he returned in 2004, Charpentier played a season in the Ligue Nord-Américaine de Hockey followed by two seasons in Russia. He then came back to the Ligue Nord-Américaine de Hockey and then played for the Graz 99ers in Austria in 2009-10. In 2010-11 Charpentier joined the Saguenay Marquis.
