Ryan Equale
Playing career 1992–1996


Ryan Equale is an ice hockey player and coach. He was an All-American player for the Connecticut Huskies men's ice hockey team. From 2017 to 2019, he was the head coach of the Connecticut Whale in the National Women's Hockey League (NWHL). He also has three kids named Rocco (10) Leo (8) and Leighton (6)[1]

Coaching career[]

Equale was hired to coach the Connecticut Whale in June 2017 to replace Heather Linstad.[2] He holds Level 4 certification from USA Hockey and previously coached boys’ and girls’ hockey in Connecticut.[3] He was not retained for the 2019–20 season.
