Ross Wilson

Ross Ingram "Lefty" Wilson (October 15, 1919 in Toronto, Ontario – November 4, 2002 in Naples, Florida) was a Canadian ice hockey player.

Wilson was a trainer for the Detroit Red Wings of the NHL from 1950–1982. He won 4 Stanley Cup Championships with Detroit in 1950, 1952, 1954 and 1955. He played 1 game for the Red Wings on October 10, 1953, replacing an injured Terry Sawchuk. He later played two more games in the NHL. He played 1 game while on loan to the Toronto Maple Leafs, replacing an injured Harry Lumley on January 22, 1956. He played 1 game for the Boston Bruins on December 29, 1957, replacing an injured Don Simmons, once again being loaned out by Detroit.
