Ronald Knot (born on August 3, 1994 in Praha) is a Czech ice hockey defenceman currently playing with the Bílí Tygři Liberec of the Tipsport Extraliga.
Club career[]
Knot played as a junior with the HC Slavia Praha organisation. He made his senior debut in the 2012-13 season playing 1 game with the HC Slavia Praha of the Tipsport Extraliga while also playing 32 games with the HC Slavia Praha junior team.
In the 2013-14 season, Knot played 15 regular season games and 3 play-off games with the HC Slavia Praha junior team and 32 regular season games and 5 play-off games with the HC Slavia Praha of the Tipsport Extraliga.
The 2014-15 season was Knot's last junior season. He played 4 games with the HC Slavia Praha junior team and 34 regular season games, 6 relegation games and 12 Tipsport Extraliga qualification games with the HC Slavia Praha of the Tipsport Extraliga. Knot could not help the HC Slavia Praha to stay in the Tipsport Extraliga, thus being demoted into the WSM Liga for the next season.
Knot stayed with the HC Slavia Praha of the WSM Liga until the end of the 2016-17 season.
In 2017, Knot signed with the BK Mladá Boleslav of the Tipsport Extraliga for the 2017-18 season. After 26 games played, he was loaned to the Piráti Chomutov of the Tipsport Extraliga for the remainder of the season. He played 21 regular season games and 6 relegation games with the Piráti Chomutov. He also played one game on loan with the HC Slavia Praha of the WSM Liga.
In the 2018-19 season, Knot played with the Piráti Chomutov of the Tipsport Extraliga. In the end of the season, the team was demoted to the Chance Liga (formerly WSM Liga) for the next season.
Since 2019, Knot is playing with the Bílí Tygři Liberec of the Tipsport Extraliga where he is signed until the end of the 2020-21 season with an option for the 2021-22 season. In the 2019-20 season, he also played one game on loan with the team's farm team, the HC Benátky nad Jizerou of the Chance Liga.
International career[]
Knot played with the Czech National Team at the 2012 World U18 Championship and at the 2014 World Junior Championship.
