Ron Moffat (born August 21, 1905 in Westhope, North Dakota - August 19, 1960) was a professional ice hockey player who played 37 games in the National Hockey League. He played for the Detroit Red Wings.

He started his pro career with the Saskatoon Crescents of the Western Canada Hockey League in 1925-26 and, when that league folded, switched to the Saskatoon Sheiks of the Prairie Hockey League.

In 1928 Moffat started a four year stay with the Tulsa Oilers of the American Hockey Association. The Detroit Red Wings signed him as a free agent in 1932.

For three years Moffat split his time between the Red Wings and their farm team the Detroit Olympics. He got into 37 games and scored a goal and an assist. He was traded ot the minor league Windsor Bulldogs in 1935.

Moffat played the last four seasons of his career in the Pacific Coast Hockey League and retired in 1940.
