
Roger Lafreniere (born July 24, 1942 in Montreal, Quebec) is a retired professional ice hockey defenceman who played 13 games in the National Hockey League with the Detroit Red Wings and St. Louis Blues.
He played junior hockey for the Hamilton Red Wings in 1961-62, winning the Memorial Cup that season. He turned pro in 1962-63, playing mostly for the Pittsburgh Hornets and getting into 3 games for the Detroit Red Wings. He also played for the Hamilton Red Wings in their game against the Soviet team.
After this season he played in the minor pros. The Buffalo Bisons acquired him from Detroit in 1965. The St. Louis Blues then got him from the Bisons in 1969, but he did not see any action for the Blues until 1972-73. In that season he played 10 games for the Blues.
He retired in 1975. In his 13 NHL games, Lafreniere scored no points and received 4 penalty minutes.
