Playing career[]
Junior[]
Fabbri was drafted by the Guelph Storm in the first round (6th overall) of the 2012 OHL Priority Selection. Fabbri was rated as a top prospect[1] who was viewed as a possible top 10 selection heading into the 2014 NHL Entry Draft.[2] Fabbri has played with the Guelph Storm since the 2012–13 OHL season, and was recognized for his outstanding play when he was chosen to compete at the 2014 CHL/NHL Top Prospects Game.[3]
Professional[]
On September 3, 2014, Fabbri signed a three-year entry level contract with the Blues.[4] At the conclusion of the 2014–15 season with the Storm, Fabbri made his professional debut after he was reassigned by the Blues to AHL affiliate, the Chicago Wolves on April 15, 2015.[5] He made his NHL debut and also scored his first NHL goal on October 8, 2015, against the Edmonton Oilers.
Fabbri scored his first career hat trick on December 28, 2016 against the Philadelphia Flyers.[6]
He was injured midway through the first period in a February 4, 2017 game against the Pittsburgh Penguins, suffering a torn ACL on his left knee, injuring him for the rest of the season. He recorded 11 goals and 18 assists for 29 points in 51 games played.[7]
