Robert David Moore (May 3, 1954 – January 7, 2022) was a Canadian professional ice hockey goaltender who played for the Philadelphia Flyers and Washington Capitals.
Moore started out with the hometown Tier II Junior A Sarnia Bees in 1971-72. He then went to the University of Michigan for four seasons, making the NCAA first all star team in 1973-74.
After leaving Michigan in 1976, he joined the University of Western Ontario for one season.
He was not drafted by any NHL team, but was chosen by the WHA's New England Whalers 187th overall in the 1974 WHA Amateur Draft.
In 1978 Moore signed with the Philadelphia Flyers. He was not, however, able to break into the lineup as a regular and only played 5 games with the big team. He added one more NHL game later with the Washington Capitals.
Moore retired in 1984.
Moore died in Sarnia on January 7, 2022, at the age of 67.[2][3]
