Reagan Elizabeth Fischer (born on February 11, 1990) is an ice hockey player for the Dartmouth Big Green.

Playing career

She competed in the Alberta Major Midget Female Hockey League. As a member of the Lloydminster PWM Steelers, she was given the league’s Most Valuable Player award. In 2008, Fischer earned the AMMFHL Leading Scorer Award along with the Player’s Player Award. In 27 games with the Steelers, she registered 32 goals along with 34 assists for 66 points. In addition, she led the league with seven short-handed goals. During the 2006-07 season, Fischer won the gold medal in the AMMFHL.

NCAA

Fischer joined the Dartmouth Big Green in the 2008-09 season. As a member of the Big Green, Fischer developed into a two way player. Among her defensive specialties, she is known for blocking shots and leading the special teams.

On Sunday mornings following Dartmouth home games, Reagan Fischer and Erica Dobos volunteered for the Learn to Skate Program. They delivered one-on-one skating lessons to children on Hanover’s frozen Occom Pond.

Fischer scored a goal in her first collegiate game (against the Princeton Tigers women's ice hockey program) on October 31, 2008. As a freshman, Fischer participated in all of Dartmouth's 34 games while registering 15 goals and 11 assists for 26 points. On January 9, 2009, Fischer had her first NCAA two goal game as she helped Dartmouth prevail by a 5-2 tally over the Yale Bulldogs. The following day, she scored the game winning goal in a 9-1 triumph over the Brown Bears. In the two games, Fischer had a plus minus rating of plus 4. During the 2009 ECAC playoffs, Fischer scored two power play goals in the third and deciding game versus the Colgate Raiders in the first round of the playoffs. The Big Green would defeat the Raiders by a 7-3 tally at Thompson Arena. At the end of her freshman season, Fischer was invited to the Canadian National Team's conditioning camp.

Fischer missed her sophomore season (2009-10) but returned for the 2010-11 season and participated in all 34 games. In addition, Fischer was named one of three alternate captains. During the 2010-11 season, Fischer set a new career-high in assists in a single game with three as the Big Green bested Connecticut by a 5-0 margin. In that same match, she tied a career high for points in a game with four.

Hockey Canada

During the 2011–12 Canada women's national ice hockey team season, Fischer was invited to the Under 22 training camp in August 2011.

Personal

Her uncle Greg competed at the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology. As a student at Irma High School. Fischer participated in curling, golf and softball. Fischer earned the gold medal in the Alberta Honda Hit, Run and Throw competition in fastball. On Sunday mornings following 2010-11 Dartmouth home games, Fischer, teammate Erica Dobos and other members of the Big Green volunteered for the Learn to Skate Program. They delivered one-on-one skating lessons to children on Hanover’s frozen Occom Pond.
