Club career
Petrovický began his senior career in the 1990-91 season when he played with the HK Dukla Trenčín of the 1. NHL. He stayed there until the end of the 1991-92 season. In the 1991-92 season, he became the Czechoslovak champion and was named the 1. NHL Play-offs MVP.
