Quebec Sons of Ireland 1916-
The Quebec Sons of Ireland were a senior team that played from 1915-16 through 1926-27. They did not play in 1918-19 and 1920-21.
From 1916 through 1918 they were not eligible for the Allan Cup but instead played for the Art Ross Cup which was a challenge cup for Quebec champions. The Sons won the Art Ross Cup in 1915-16 & 1916-17, only to lose it in a challenge in 1917-18.
The team won the Quebec Senior championship in 1920, 1922, 1923, & 1924. In each of these years they lost out in the Eastern Canada Allan Cup playoffs.
The Sons moved from the Quebec City League in 1922-23 to more provincially based leagues.
They finally folded in 1927 after trying unsuccessfully to compete with the Quebec Beavers, who were a minor professional team in the Canadian-American League.

Junior Team[]
The Quebec Sons of Ireland also had a junior team that played in the Quebec City Junior League from 1924-25 through 1926-27. They won the league title in each of these three seasons.
They won the Quebec championship in 1924-25 and then lost the final in the 1924-25 Eastern Canada Memorial Cup Playoffs.
They again won the Quebec championship in 1925-26 and this time lost the semi final in the 1925-26 Eastern Canada Memorial Cup Playoffs.
They lost the final in the 1926-27 Quebec Junior Playoffs.
