Quebec (pronounced /kwɨˈbɛk/ or /kəˈbɛk/), in French, Québec (pronounced [kebɛk]) is a province in Canada.
It has a population of about 8,750,000. Its capital is Quebec City and its largest city is Montreal.

The Montréal Canadiens play their home games at the Bell Centre.
The Quebec Nordiques played in Quebec City, at the Colisée de Québec from 1972 - 1995 before moving to become the Colorado Avalanche.
The Montreal Wanderers were an original NHL team but folded in the first season - 1917-18.
The Quebec Bulldogs also played in Quebec City in 1919-20 before moving to Hamilton to become the Hamilton Tigers.
The Montreal Maroons joined the NHL in 1924 and folded in 1938.
