The Quad City Storm are a minor league hockey team founded in 2018 that play in the Southern Professional Hockey League. The team is based out of the TaxSlayer Center in Moline, Illinois. The team was established after the Quad City Mallards (2009–2018) ceased operations at the end of the 2017-18 season in the ECHL. The establishment of the team was announced in May of 2018 and the team's name was announced June 21, 2018.[1][2][3]
