The Provincial Intermediate League was a league in Quebec.
It started up in 1935-36 and played as well in the next season. In 1937 the league was promoted to the senior level. It remained as such (with a break in World War II) until 1948, when the league merged with the Quebec Senior Hockey League.
The league was restarted as intermediate in 1948-49. Again it was promoted in 1951-52. The league reverted to intermediate in 1954-55.
After three years of intermediate play the league folded in 1957 because of poor attendance.
