The Powassan Voodoos are a team based in Powassan, Ontario. They are based out of the Powassan Sportsplex. The team was founded in 2014 as an Expansion team in the Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League.
The team replaced the Greater Metro Junior A Hockey League team in town; the Powassan Eagles/Powassan Dragons franchise had relocated to Parry Sound as the Parry Sound Islanders after the 2013-14 season.
2014-15[]
The Voodoos would qualify for the playoffs in their first season despite having a losing record advancing to the league's semifinal round.
2015-16[]
The team made a 44 point improvement in their second season and would also make the playoffs in the 2015-16 season but would bow out in the division semifinal round.
2016-17 Season[]
The team would go on to win their first league regular season and playoff championship with the 2016-17 NOJHL Season go through the playoffs with a 12-0 record. The team would advance to the 2017 Dudley Hewitt Cup where they finished the round robin with a 1-2-0 record and then lost to the Georgetown Raiders in the semifinal game 2-1.
