Pont-Rouge is a city along the Jacques Cartier River within the Capitale-National administrative region of Quebec roughly about 75 km (48 miles) north of Quebec City. The city has a population of 8,723 as of the 2011 census. The city was established in 1996 by the amalgamation of the village of Pont-Rouge and the parish of Sainte-Jeanne-de-Pont-Rouge.
