The Pictou County Pontiacs were an independent (non-league) senior team that played out of Stellarton.
They entered the 1955-56 Maritimes Senior B Playoffs and lost the regional semi final after winning the Nova Scotia championship.

After defeating the Antigonish Bulldogs in the first round; the team advanced to the semifinals by default when the New Glasgow Rangers defaulted over a dispute about home games. They then lost to the Charlottetown Parkdale Flyers two gaems to 1 in the semifinals
