Peter Andersson (born March 2, 1962 in Federtalve, Sweden) is a retired Swedish ice hockey player who played briefly in the National Hockey League. Selected 173rd overall in the 1980 NHL Entry Draft by the Washington Capitals, Andersson also played for the Quebec Nordiques.

After a distinguished career in Sweden, Andersson was finally convinced to join the Capitals in 1983. However, he did not have a successful career in North America and only played in 172 NHL games, scoring 10 goals and 41 assists. In 1986 he returned to Sweden.
