Paul Edmond Messier (born January 27, 1958 in Nottingham, England) is a retired ice hockey player. He is the older brother of NHL legend Mark Messier. He played briefly in the NHL for the Colorado Rockies.

He and his family moved to Edmonton when he was young. Messier played junior for the Edmonton Mets, Spruce Grove Mets, and the Edmonton Oil Kings from 1973 to 1976. From 1976 to 1978 he played for University of Denver. He was chosen 41st overall by the Colorado Rockies in the 1978 NHL Amateur Draft.

Messier saw some action with the Rockies in 1978-79, playing nine games without scoring a point. That was the extent of his NHL career. He played in the minor pros until 1983.

In that year Messier went to Europe and joined ECD Iserlohn in Germany. The next year he went to ERC Mannheim where he played for six years. In 1990-91 Messier went to Italy to play for HC Bolzano. He retired after that season.
