Paul Michael Hurley (born July 12, 1946 in Melrose, Massachusetts) is a retired professional ice hockey defenceman who played 311 games in the World Hockey Association and 1 game in the National Hockey League between 1969 and 1977. He played for the Boston Bruins, New England Whalers, Edmonton Oilers, and Calgary Cowboys.
Hurley played for the Boston College men's ice hockey as well as the US national team at the 1968 Winter Olympics and 1967 World Championship tournament. He turned pro in 1968-69 after Boston College finished its season and played one game for the Boston Bruins. It turned out to be the only NHL game that Hurley would play. He spent three seasons in the Bruins' farm system.
In 1972 Hurley jumped to the New England Whalers of the World Hockey Association and helped them win the Avco World Trophy in 1973. He played two and a half seasons more for the Whalers and then was traded to the Edmonton Oilers in mid-season 1975-76. The next season he played for the Calgary Cowboys and then retired in 1977.
In the WHA Hurley played in 311 games, scoring 10 goals and 76 assists.
