Pablo Muñoz (born 26th April 1987 in Jaca) is a Spanish ice hockey defenceman who has played with CG Puigcerdà since 2017.

Career[]

Pablo Muoz started his career as an ice hockey player in the 2003–04 season in the 2003–04 season, and became champion in his rookie year. He was able to repeat this success with his team in 2005. He then moved to their league rivals FC Barcelona, with whom he also became Spanish champion in the 2008–09 season. Following this success, the winger joined the CG Puigcerdà, with whom he won the Copa del Rey, the Spanish Cup competition, in 2010. For the 2011–12 season, he returned to FC Barcelona. He was a player coach there until 2013. He then works for the club in addition to his role as a player manager. Since 2017 he has played again for the CG Puigcerdà.

International[]

Muñoz has played for Spain at the 2004 and 2005 IIHF World U18 Championship Division II, 2004, 2005, 2006, and 2007 World Junior Ice Hockey Championships – Division II. He served as the captain Spanish team at the 2011 Winter Universiade in Erzurum, Turkey

At the senior level he was a member of the squads that played at the 2006 to 2018 IIHF World Championship. He was named best player on the team at the 2007, 2008, and 2014. He would be a member of the teams qualifying for the 2014 Winter Olympics and 2018 Winter Olympics.
