Pär Lindholm (born on October 5, 1991 in Kusmark) is a Swedish professional ice hockey center/left winger currently playing with the Ak Bars Kazan of the KHL.
Club career[]
Lindholm played junior hockey with the Skellefteå AIK organisation.
Lindholm made his senior debut with the Skellefteå AIK of the Elitserien during the 2009-10 season. He played there 2 regular season games and 1 play-off game in this season while he also played 32 regular season games and 3 play-off games with the Skellefteå AIK under-20 team.
In the 2010-11 season, Lindholm played 1 regular season game and 5 play-off games with the Skellefteå AIK under-20 team, 1 regular season game and 3 play-off games with the Skellefteå AIK of the Elitserien and 50 games on loan with the IF Sundsvall Hockey of the HockeyAllsvenskan.
Then spent Lindholm the whole 2011-12 season on loan with the IF Sundsvall Hockey of the HockeyAllsvenskan.
In the 2012-13 season played Lindholm with the Piteå HC of the HockeyEttan.
In the next season, he played with the Karlskrona HK of the HockeyAllsvenskan.
In 2014 - 2018 played Lindholm with the Skellefteå AIK of the SHL (formerly Elitserien). In the 2017-18 season, Lindholm established himself as a dominant center in the SHL, scoring 47 points in 49 regular season games as well as 11 points in 16 play-off games.[1]
On May 17, 2018, having gained NHL attention, Lindholm signed as an undrafted free agent to a one-year, entry-level contract with the Toronto Maple Leafs organisation.[2][3]
After attending the Maple Leafs 2018 training camp, Lindholm made the opening night roster to begin the 2018-19 season. He made his NHL debut against traditional rivals the Montréal Canadiens in the Maple Leafs 3-2 overtime victory on October 3, 2018.[4] Playing as the Maple Leafs fourth-line center, Lindholm recorded his first career NHL goal on October 13, 2018 in a 4-2 win over the Washington Capitals.[5] He appeared in every game for the Maple Leafs leading up to the trade deadline, contributing 12 points in 61 games before he was dealt to the Winnipeg Jets in exchange for Nic Petan on February 25, 2019.[6] He finished there the season with 4 regular season games and 2 play-off games played.
On July 1, 2019, Lindholm joined his third NHL club, signing as a free agent to a two-year, $850,000 contract with the Boston Bruins.[7] He spent there the entire 2019-20 season.
He also began there the 2020-21 season but after just one game played, he moved to the Skellefteå AIK of the SHL where he finished the season with 11 regular season games and 12 play-off games played.
In 2021, he signed a one-year contract with the Ak Bars Kazan of the KHL.
