Olympic Athletes from Russia was the name used for athletes from Russia that competed in the 2018 Winter Olympics held in Pyeongchang, South Korea. As a result of sanctions issued by the International Olympic Committee the Russia men's national ice hockey team and Russia women's national ice hockey team were not allowed to compete as a nation in the 2018 Olympic hockey tournaments. The sanction was the result of allegations of doping. The sanction was announced on December 20, 2017. Athletes who had tested clean were allowed to compete under the Olympic Athletes from Russia name and the IOC flag.
