The Northwest Hockey League was a Senior hockey league based in Northern United States. This league played from 1950-51 to 1956-57. The teams that played are Crookston (MN), Grand Forks Amerks (ND), Hallock Legionaires (MN), Roseau (MN), Thief River Falls Thieves (MN) and Warroad Lakers (MN). It appears that all of these teams played until 1956-57. The Lakers won the league in 1955, 1956 and 1957.

During this span the Warroad Lakers won the United States Intermediate championship in 1955 and would play until 1997 winning the Hardy Cup in 1974 and the Allan Cup 1994, 1995, and 1996.
