The Northland Lumberjacks are a Men's Division III team in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference after formerly playing in the Midwest Collegiate Hockey Association and then then Northern Collegiate Hockey Association. The team represents Northland College in Ashland, Wisconsin. The team is based out of the Bay Area Civic Center in Ashland.
On April 5, 2018 the college announced that the men's and women's teams would be joining the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference for the 2019-20 season.[1]
- On February 19, 2025 the Northland College Board of Trustees voted unanimously to close the college at the end of the 2024-25 academic year. The Northland Lumberjacks men's ice hockey and Northland Lumberjills women's ice hockey teams were both members of the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.[2]

Men's History[]
The Men's program was established for the 2001-02 season. The team was a member of the Midwest Collegiate Hockey Association from 2001 until 2013 when the conference was merged into the Northern Collegiate Hockey Association.
2010-11 Northland College team
The team was rocked by the tragic death of defenseman Chris Morgan who was killed in a hit and run accident during the night of August 5-6, 2017 in his hometown of Rochester Hills, Michigan.
