The North West Senior Hockey League (NWSHL) is a Senior A Hockey League operating in the Canadian province of Manitoba. The league plays under the sanction of Hockey Manitoba, in affiliation with Hockey Canada. The league champion advances to the Manitoba Championship Tournament for the Manitoba Cup.
A posting was made on the Norway House team facebook page announcing that the league would not be playing for the 2017-18 season due to a lack of teams. The person that made the posting stated that only Cross Lake, Norway House, Norway House and a new team from Chemowawin were the only ones committed to playing for the season and that these four teams would participate in showcase events in each team's arena to create a schedule for the teams. The league is hoping to return for the 2018-19 season.
