The North East Senior Hockey league was a Senior level hockey league based in the province of New Brunswick. The league was founded for the 2011-2012 season. All teams returned for the 2012-2013 season.
The league announced on its' website on June 25, 2013 that it accepted a team from Charlottetown, PEI for the 2013-14 season and stated in the same posting that there is "the possibility of a 2nd team requesting entry into the league."
The Montague Stallions dropped out early in the 2017-18 season after having won the 2016-17 championship.
The league was down to three teams by the end of the 2017-18 season. The league had put a posting up saying it was looking for teams to join the league.
In early September of 2018 the league cancelled the 2018-19 season. The league officially folded September 20, 2018 after seven seasons of play.[1]
The three remaining members of the league would sit out the 2018-19 season and then would return for the 2019-20 season by forming the Beausejour Senior Hockey League.
