The North American Hockey Association is a planned independent junior level hockey league established with plans to begin play with the 2023-24 season.

The league was announced on June 29, 2023 at the Brockville Memorial Centre.

The owner of the Brockville Braves (and Brockville Tikis of the Eastern Ontario Junior Hockey League) as well as the owner of the Cornwall Colts , both of which are current members of the Central Canada Hockey League) involved in the new league.[1]

The NAHA’s eight founding franchises will include the Brockville Braves, the Cornwall Colts, and teams in Kingston, Smiths Falls, Ottawa East, Ottawa West, and Montreal’s South Shore and West.[2]

As part of the press conference announcing the new league the Brockville team will take the time slot that was previously used by the Brockville Tikis and that the Tikis franchise was put up for sale for relocation for the 2023-24 playing season. The league founders also stated that the new league was planning on operating in tandem with the CCHL, despite being outside of Hockey Canada's jurisdiciton. It was also stated in the announcement that teams in the United States could be in the league in the future.[3]
