North Adams is a city located in Berkshire County in Massachusetts, located near the New York and Vermont borders. The city had a population of 13,708 as of the 2010 US Census.
- Berkshire Battalion (Federal Hockey League, 2014-Present)
- Berkshire Black Bears (North Atlantic Professional Hockey League, 2015) flagship franchise of proposed league which had pushed its start back from 2014-15 season in an effort to gain more stable ownership for other teams; according to the website the team had tried to join Federal Hockey League for the 2014-15; but gave up on this in an announcement on their website on July 9, 2014
- Massachsuetts College of Liberal Arts, dropped men's hockey program in 2003; team was nicknamed Mohawks until 2002 and was renamed Trailblazers. The orignal nickname came from the Mohawk Trail (a Native American trading route between New England and New York area tribes. The nickname was dropped after concerns were raised over the use of Native American names, even though the Mohawk Nation stated they thought the name was an honor. The college was known as North Adams State College until 1997.
