History[]
The Niagara Falls Thunder were a major junior team.
They played in the Ontario Hockey League from 1988 to 1996.
The Thunder were the relocated Hamilton Steelhawks and were the third league franchise in Niagara Falls.
After a rather strong start, the team had four bad seasons. This was part of the reason why the team moved to become the Erie Otters in 1996.
