The Newark Garden Arena was an indoor arena in Newark, New Jersey that was intended to be the home of the Newark Bulldogs of the Canadian American Hockey League. The team was a relocation of the Quebec Castors who had been purchased by the owners of the planned arena. The team ended up playing the 1928-29 season on the road while the arena was being built. The season was a disaster for the team finishing with a 14-26-0 record and only three players hitting double digits in points. With the 1929-30 season approaching the arena was nowhere near complete after numerous additional delays; the owners decided to cut their losses with the hockey team and sold the players to other clubs in the league.[1] It is uncertain if the arena was ever completed or if it was ever used for ice hockey.
