The New Hampshire Avalanche are a junior hockey team that was an expansion for the 2017-18 season in the Eastern Hockey League. The team was approved by USA Hockey in February of 2017. The team is based out of the Ice Den Arena in Hooksett, New Hampshire. The organization dates back to March 2001 with a background in youth hockey ranging from mites to U-18. The orgranization is ownerd by Mario Martinello. On April 2, 2017, the organization announced Chris Cerrella as their first head coach and general manager.
The team would win the 2017-18 EHL playoffs in its' first season and follow it up with another championship in 2018-19.
The organization added a second team that will play in the Premier Division for the 2019-20 season.
