Neal M. Coulter (born January 2, 1963 in Toronto, Ontario) is a retired Canadian ice hockey right winger. He played in the NHL for the New York Islanders.

He played junior hockey for the Toronto Marlboros from 1980 to 1983 and was chosen 63rd overall by the New York Islanders in the 1981 NHL Entry Draft. Coulter turned pro with the Indianapolis Checkers in 1983-84.

Coulter played in the Islanders' system until 1988. He got into 26 games with the NHL club, scoring 5 goals and 5 assists. He retired in 1988.
