At the KJHL's May meeting they were accepted into the league for the 2019-20 season.[1]

A previous Junior B team based out of the same arena was known as the NCN Flames (Nisichawayasihk Cree Nation). That team won the 2002 Manitoba Junior B Hockey Playoffs and also participated in the 2003 and 2004 playoffs. The team also won the 2002 and 2003 playoff championships. The team played in the 2002 Keystone Cup where they finished sixth in the round robin and were eliminated.
