Murray Brumwell (born March 31, 1960 in Calgary, Alberta, Canada) is a retired ice hockey defenceman who played parts of 7 different seasons in the National Hockey League, with the New Jersey Devils and the Minnesota North Stars.
He played junior for the Calgary Wranglers, Saskatoon Blades, and the Billings Bighorns of the Western Hockey League. Brumwell scored 72 points in 1979-80, which earned the undrafted player a signing by the Minnesota North Stars.
Over two seasons, Brumwell mostly played in the minors, playing only 22 games for the Stars. In 1982-83 the New Jersey Devils picked him up on waivers and he saw some regular duty with the NHL team. By 1985, however, he was again relegated to the minors and finished off his career in the American Hockey League. He retired in 1991.
In the NHL Brumwell played in 128 games and scored 12 goals and 31 assists.
