History[edit | edit source]
This league played in Montreal. It was usually the second best junior league in Quebec after the Junior Amateur Hockey Association. The games were played at the Mount Royal Arena.
A league ran in 1929-30 & 1930-31. It was forced to move to the open-air rink at Loyola College because of lack of ice time at the Arena. The name was changed to the Montreal Junior League.
In 1933, the Montreal Junior League moved back to the Mount Royal Arena. The name was changed back to the Mount Royal Junior League.
It ran as a Junior A league, eligible for the provincial championship until 1943-44, when it became a Junior B league. It ran until 1950-51.
