Mount Royal is a town just to the north of the mountain that it is named after. It is located on the island of Montreal in the Canadian province of Quebec.
To differentiate it from the mountain it is usualy referred to as the Town of Mount Royal (in French Ville Mont Royal) or simply as TMR.
The population is about 20,000.
It is a mainly residential suburb with a very nice hockey arena. There have been a number of intermediate and junior teams playing there.
