History[]
The Montreal Winged Wheelers were a senior team in the late 1930's and a junior team in the 1940's.
They were named after the Montreal AAA team of around 1890-1930. which was known as the Winged Wheelers after the bicycle team.
There was an intermediate team in the Mount Royal Intermediate League in 1939-40. It finished in first place but lost out in the league playoffs.
The junior team played in the Mount Royal Junior League starting in 1941-42. The Wheelers won that league title in 1944-45 and 1945-46 and won the Quebec Junior B Hockey Championship. in 1945.
There was a junior A team in the Junior Amateur Hockey Association in 1946-47.
In 1947-48, the Wheelers merged with the Montreal Junior B Canadiens to form the Montreal Wheelers-Canadiens.
