Montague Stallions

The Montague Stallions are a men's Senior AA hockey based out of the Cavendish Farms Wellness Centre in Montague, Prince Edward Island. The team was formed in 2016 to play in the North East Senior Hockey League for the 2016-17 season. The league had several teams attempting to qualify for the 2017 Allan Cup but the Stallions chose to register at the Senior AA level which is not eligible for Allan Cup competition.  The team won the league's playoffs in their first season.

Due to a lack of players (8-11 for most games), lower attendance (700 down to 200 per game through 2 home games) the team would be forced to withdraw from the NESHL as the league refused to allow the team to withdraw from regular season play and just play in the Allan Cup qualifier that was scheduled for January.  The team would have been forced to release all of its players and then try to put the team back together for a best-of-three series which would have been held January 26-28 in Bouctouche, New Brunswick.
