Mitchell Moroz (born May 3, 1994) is a Canadian professional ice hockey winger who currently plays for the Edmonton Oil Kings of the Western Hockey League. Moroz was drafted by the Edmonton Oilers at 32nd overall in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft.

Playing careerEdit

Moroz made his WHL debut as a full-time player in 2011-12, and scored 16 goals plus nine assists and led all Oil Kings forwards for penalty minutes. He had four goals and assists and added 24 penalty minutes in 20 playoff games en route to a league championship. He did not put up any points in the Memorial Cup, playing two games.

Moroz was also invited to the NHL Draft Combine for 2012, seeing as he had gone up from 171st in the midterm rankings to 72nd amongst North American skaters for the 2012 NHL Entry Draft. He would go on to be selected in the second round (32nd overall) by the Edmonton Oilers.

He returned to the Oil Kings for the 2012-13 campaign, Moroz posted 13 goals and added 21 assists combined with a +21 in 69 games played. He was in a third-line role for the team and racked up enough penalty minutes to put him second behind defenseman Keegan Lowe with 140 penalty minutes. The Oil Kings made a run to the WHL Finals, losing to the Portland Winterhawks. Moroz had 2 goals and 5 assists and was +2 with 41 penalty minutes in 22 games.
