This was an intermediate level league that included three teams from Northwestern Ontario as well as Warroad, Minnesota.
The three Northwestern Ontario teams played after the season and league playoffs for a spot in the Thunder Bay Amateur Hockey Association intermediate final. Warroad, Minnesota was not eligible for that title.
The league played from 1957-58 through 1964-65.
